  • Treatment of chronic diseases including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, depression, asthma, arthritis, skin diseases
  • Acute illness, including colds, flu, intestinal illnesses, joint injuries, rashes
  • Preventive services including complete physicals, pap smears, prostate/ PSA exams
  • DOT Physicals
  • Office surgery/ Biopsy of many skin conditions and lesions

Shared Patient Visits:

Beginning in January, 2006, we will offer shared patient visits. This is a visit with your doctor that includes:

  • An individual medical check-up
  • Prescription review
  • Health education in a group of 10-15 patients with the same medical condition

We will initially offer this service to diabetics, but will expand to include other conditions as the demand arises. Contact Batish Family Medicine for more information.

Pediatric Health Care
Preventative Well Child Exams

  • Vaccinations
  • Treatment for acute illnesses
  • Sport/Camp physicals
  • ADHD Treatment

Lab Services:
For your convenience, the following tests are processed while you are in the office:

  • Lipid Panel (cholesterol)
  • Hemoglobin A1C (diabetes monitoring)
  • H. Pylori (ulcers)
  • Urinalysis
  • Urine Pregnancy
  • Hemoglobin (anemia)

Other labs are sent to and processed by Labcorp. You will be notified of your lab results whether they are normal or abnormal

Hospitalization:

For patients requiring hospitalization, we use the Cape Fear Hospitalist Service at NHRMC. I will discuss your health condition with the hospitalist who will coordinate your care in the hospital. These physicians are specialists in inpatient health care and work only at the hospital. Once hospital care is complete, the hospitalists transfer care back to me with complete records.
